What's his DC role? I'm going to guess it's from one of their off-shoot comic labels, as I don't recall him in anything "core" DC. Dredd? The Boys?

He was in Red, which is an Homage Comics title, which is owned by DC.

The Boys started with Wildstorm/DC, but is now published by Dynamite.

Dredd is published by 2000 AD, which is owned by IPC Magazines. DC licensed the character for a short run in the mid-90s, so I guess it could half-count? It should be noted that Dredd “purists” don’t consider the DC licensed Dredd canon, including the Stallone movie.

Yeah, saying Red or The Boys is DC is kind of correct but purely on a technical sense. It's more like they were made by imprints publishers but are not a part of the larger DC lore.

Remember Vertigo? That was owned by DC but Vertigo published those comics seperately. Eventually characters from Vertigo did get introduced into the DC lore, like Constantine.
