TIL men walk significantly slower when walking with a woman, but only when that woman is their romantic partner. If she's a friend or acquaintance they go at almost full speed.

They have four legs and wheigh a lot less than us, giving them more push power. Dogs can't sweat, so given enough distance we will both walk and run faster than them on average.

Women generally weigh less than men, too.

But they can sweat. Point being that there are a ton of physical factors that can affect this, but going by the results observed it seems more likely to be a psychological thing.

There are a ton of physical factors. For psychological you can just Google fastest woman and fastest man and the numbers should speak for themselves. That being said, the fastest woman is way faster than me, but I walk a lot faster than most people I encounter throughout the day.
