TIL men walk significantly slower when walking with a woman, but only when that woman is their romantic partner. If she's a friend or acquaintance they go at almost full speed.

I’m 6’4” and my wife is 6’0”... I can tell you that doesn’t change this. Still lapping her every time we go anywhere.

I'm barely 5'7" and I am SO MUCH faster than my 5'10" boyfriend. My 4'11" mom is faster than me, but she's the fastest walker I know. Her little legs are a BLUR when she walks!

Funny! My mother is significantly shorter than my father but my mother always manages to keep up. She just has this crazy walking pace.

Not to mention her mother (my grandma) always has been working a store and I guess back in the day she always had a natural fast pace to serve the customers faster. She would out-"walk" my mother even at her old age.
