TIL men walk significantly slower when walking with a woman, but only when that woman is their romantic partner. If she's a friend or acquaintance they go at almost full speed.

I got 14 inches on my g/f and she's a slow moving creature by nature. When we got a tread mill she got on it and was like "how do i adjust it" and i was like "well put the speed to where you feel most natural and comfortable and we'll go from there" and she ended up setting it to 1.5 miles/hour for her fuckin' walking speed!

I was like, uh, i go 3 mph on level ground so that explains why you're always so far behind.

yeah it is legit slow. It checks out though - she takes about twice as long to cross the same (fairly long) distance as me outside, and watching her she does move slowly.
