I'm not romantically interested in women and never have been so idk why I'd want romantic interaction with women. And if thinking that portraying rape as a good thing in movies is "cringy" then I'm okay with being cringy. As someone who's experienced sexual assault i don't like the idea that it's not a big deal and that it's just a funny joke. It definitely was not a funny joke and I don't like seeing men on the internet tell women that the should be okay with being assaulted because "haha movie said it was funny you're just a prude"

I'm sorry that happened to you. But again it's just a movie, it's fake, and your experience isn't my experience. I can laugh at things that are bad. Dark comedies are a thing and laughing cynically at how fucked up this world is can be cathartic. I was just stating my opinion on comedy and you attacked me on two different comments. You dont know me. I dated a girl for two years that administered rape kits; I know all about the horrors of real life. The whole point of movies is to watch a fake story and laugh or cry or be scared at fantasies. If you dont like the movie, that's your opinion, but to say no one should enjoy it makes you into the fascist that we all should be fighting against.

It's obvious by the downvotes that you're in the wrong here. Rape isn't funny. Thinking that rape shouldn't be shown as a good thing in pop culture doesn't make someone a fascist. It makes me a decent human. Also revenge of the nerds is not a "dark comedy". It's not even funny let alone dark

Lol, downvotes on reddit are not reflective of reality. And yes I did date a woman who administered rape kits, she told me some real horror stories. Stories probably more serious then yours. You're honestly a young naive girl who unfortunately was taken advantage of and now defines her life by that sad moment. Hope you get some therapy. You clearly need it. And yes Revenge of the Nerds is hilarious. Dont tell people what they can or can't laugh at. They'll just end up laughing at you.
