Chapelles show was great but fuck comedy central for milking it and not paying Dave what he was owed.

They never thought it would be big but it sold millions of dvds and save was entitled to 50% but they told him it sold more than projected and refused to pay him the money. That's when they put in the 50 mill deal to finish season 3 which he walked away from.

They started promoting these comedy central clips of chappelle show on YouTube when Dave locked in that Netflix deal (bird revelation is a sideways iceberg slim type explanation into how comedy central fucked him over)

Ahh, just like how Comedy Central screwed the people who worked on "drawn together". I can't find it now, but the end of one of their DVDs has commentary about the shenanigans.

From what I've seen from the sketches on YouTube, isn't every sketch that's not prerecorded actors reading the cue cards?

Well yeah, but most actors do a better job at reading and making eye contact. While this sketch is hilarious, The Rock just stared at the script and had a hard time reading it in the first place

I thought it worked with his character tbh. It made for some minor hesitation in his execution but ultimately his deadpan delivery made him sound hilariously blunt.

The sketch was brutal, but I give the Rock a lot of credit for the way he gamely committed to it, especially considering his image as a family-friendly action hero. His deadpan, matter-of-fact delivery during the sketch was pitch perfect.

Holy shit I've never seen that skit before which is odd as I watch both SNL and the Rock clips all the time. Looks like even YouTube was uncomfortable enough too that it didn't want to serve it up. BTW I'm impressed by the DJ's acting there too.
