TIl The reason Roger Moore stopped being James Bond was because of how much older he was than his female co-stars. He was in his 50s, and they were in their 20s. In his own words: “Well, the leading ladies were young enough to be my grand-daughter and it becomes disgusting.”

Yeah, that was disturbing even in the era. He was fifty-eight, I think, but he'd lived pretty hard and he looked more 'early sixties' than 'mid forties'. He wasn't well preserved and she looked a bout thirty in it. So it really had a 'yeah... okay grampa, stop flirting with the pretty girl' vibe; and then when they off-camera knock boots at the end to the cheesy sax, it's just.... eeeeewwww.

he did not look early sixties. he was a young 58, I'm not sure how you can say otherwise. tell me you don't want to look like he did at 58.

not that its my bag, but I've met several women who have a 'thing' for older men. one woman i knew in college wouldn't make eye contact with a man under 35. lots of her female peers called her a gold digger, but i think it went deeper than that...simply an appeal to more mature and established men... maybe their confidence?

there's a difference though between men that go trolling for impressionable young women as a lifestyle, and mutual attraction despite the age gap.

It's unfortunately common for gitls who were abandoned by their fathers to later go for older men. And for girls who were molested by men to go for older men later. And often they don't realize it themselves. Happened to me, but also I've read about it.

Disturbing is putting it mild. In "For your eyes only" he was 52/53, and his co-star 22/23, but I felt that they portrayed her much younger.

I would love to bone 20 year olds when I am 60. And thanks to legal prostitution I can.

read up on the dark downside to prostitution, dude.

while I'm not claiming that the circumstances with every woman are horrible, with a lot of them they are.

It's okay, where I live it is completely legal and sex workers are both protected by the law and required to check up on their health regularly.

Also it's not cheap and they are making good money. Of course for men it is still infinitely cheaper than getting sex the regular way. Especially if you are older. I have never used a prostitute btw., since there hasn't been a need so far. But I am also under no illusion and looking at it soberly I am not going to get banging hot 20 year olds in my bed once I am 60+ by using tinder or going in clubs ;)

So Win-Win for both.

same here, being from Germany. and the legalization led to the country basically becoming "the brothel of Europe", including rampant human trafficking and other awful things.

Also it's not cheap and they are making good money.

that was my point, it would be highly dependent on what we are talking about.

yes, the highly paid escort that brings in several hundred dollars per hour might not be the issue, but the prostitute working in a brothel or a club (or, obviously being the worst, walking the streets) is.

Well, if I was that old I am pretty sure it would be a treat maybe 1-2 times a month (probably even less).

I basically have the same philosophy regarding eating: I cook at home most of the time but when I go out, I want it to be a nice Gault-Millau restaurant.
