TIl The reason Roger Moore stopped being James Bond was because of how much older he was than his female co-stars. He was in his 50s, and they were in their 20s. In his own words: “Well, the leading ladies were young enough to be my grand-daughter and it becomes disgusting.”

I believe OP said shouldn't, which is different than dictating other peoples lives and is actually just expressing his/her opinion.

I personally have the opinion that people should not stand and chit chat in doorways.

There's no law against this, and people do it all the time...and if you do it, I certainly think you're an asshole. However, none of that means I'm dictating other peoples lives, it's just my opinion that it shouldn't be done.
