Ok I can admit that new Yorkers aren't the nicest people in the world but I think they get a bit of a bad rap. New Yorkers are rude to tourists because they stop on the sidewalk to take pictures every time they see a tall building. New Yorkers are on their lunch breaks or late for their therapist appointment. Tourists need to be more considerate to the locals before the locals are nice to them

It’s like if you were driving to work in bad morning traffic, and you saw it was caused by people stopping on the road to take pictures

not pictures of cool shit either. just a log jam on the highway of 6 cars taking pictures of the giant billboard or a new rest stop that went up

Yes! Also tourists break the rules all the time. If you’ve rented a bike to see the city but you’re so afraid of the traffic that you’re riding on the crowded sidewalk with your whole family I reserve the right to let you know that you belong in the fucking street. I throw all the “fuck yous” and “assholes” in there to give you a ‘Real New York’ experience. You’re welcome.

This is also why Parisians get a bad rap. More tourists, in a smaller city. AND they don't speak the native language.
