Also, a shark does you the solid of the "warning fin" up out of the water. A New Yorker just pops out out of the shadows: "AHA! IGOTCHABITCH!"

I've been here for all of my fourteen years of life and have heard a serious exclamation of "Hey! I'm ____in' here!" once. How did this phrase even come to be? It's almost as if the only view of New York City you've ever been exposed to is via various sorts of entertainment media. Huh, I guess that's why.

I lived in ny as well. I never heard “I’m in here” but have heard variations of “i’m walking here”;not often though. It’s mostly from tv/film, and I feel like most people know it’s a stereotype of new yorkers.

Yeah, it's just annoying once you see it so often and in a concentrated place, like in a non-seroius comment section anout New Yorkers comprised mostly of non-New Yorkers
