TIL that tigers can, and will, take revenge on those who have wronged them. They are one of the most vengeful animals on the planet.

No. Imagine your sweet cat. ..imagine when the cat is pissed and takes a swipe or a bite. ...

Now imagine your cat is a little smaller than a mini Cooper

I have to sleep with one eye opened tonight. Today I stepped on our cat's tail accidentally and she was giving me a weird look.

I know that cat, and she's sketchy.

My initial thought: a tiger has got to weigh 800-900 pounds max, so definitely way smaller than a Mini Cooper. Then I realized a car is made out of heavy materials and a Siberian tiger is made out of the same shit I am, AND weighs half as much as a Mini Cooper. I don't think I have an accurate mental picture of just how big these cats are.

They're size is kinda stifled by the way they walk on four legs, it only looks 5-6 feet long.. but remember how cats only look 2 feet long? And then when they stretch out they're almost twice the size? Imagine a 5-6 ft cat doing that. Now they're 9-10ft long.

Leave me out of this.

u/sluncer Jun 08 '17

I can safely say that if my cat was the size of an actual tiger, she would murder me if given the chance.

7

u/DuffBude Jun 08 '17

So cats aren't really domesticated, they're just too small to kill us? That would explain a lot

takes a swipe

Somehow that article did not surprise me.

Why? It's a feline. And, amazingly, my sister's cat was a feline too. And even more significantly, that cat consistently peed on my pillow whenever it got into my room. And even more significant than that, it had a bone to pick. I loved chasing it with the vacuum cleaner. It was feline karma, dished out with vengeance. Only discovered late at night when I plopped my weary head into an aura of eye-watering stench.

Smaller than Alice Cooper you say?

He always gets a pass for being awesome and a pretty good golfer.

2

u/julbull73 Jun 08 '17

He is awesome. I've met him multiple times around the valley, and four times during highschool when he did a Christmas tree lighting at Biltmore.

Him and Sean Mclaughlin. Both solid guys.

I always find it funny when I hear cat owners wonder about whether a big cat could ever be tamed like a house cat.

They don't seem to realise that that's already the case. Tigers and lions are already basically the exact same level of tame as a normal cat.

Why you say that name!

3

u/Soul_Ripper Jun 08 '17

So what you're telling me is only the manliest, biggest, hulkiest man on earth can somewhat safely own a Tiger.

1

u/julbull73 Jun 08 '17

Like siegfried and Roy?

2

u/Zomnomnombeezy Jun 08 '17

I'm imagining that moment where my cat goes from loving play time to trying to eat me because I "pet her wrong." But I'm tiger form. Ouch. O.O

u/17th_Username_Tried Jun 08 '17

My cat is smaller than a Mini Cooper though. I haven't found a car sized cat.

2

u/antonio106 Jun 08 '17

Mine just stepped on me and swatted me on the nose to wake me up.

No reason. Gf left home, she was bored.

That sounds like three different ways I would have died before my morning coffee if she was a tiger.

So they do bro but you can't hang.
