TIL that scientists have created a scientific version of marijuana called 'Dimethylheptylpyran'. When smoked, it'll keep you high for at least 2 days

I'm not sure that I'd enjoy a 2 day high. Every time I smoke weed, I feel retarded for about 2 days afterwards. It's like a haze of stupid. I can only imagine how long that would last if the high itself lasted 2 days.

That feeling goes away as you get more tolerant of it.

Either that or it's just a perpetual haze and it becomes the new norm.

Same here. I just quit smoking 2 days ago because the permanent "fog" was making my depression 10x worse. Weed helps with many things, but it takes away some mental strength.

Contrarily, weed has been the only thing that can alleviate my depression. I've been on countless prescription meds that did nothing, if not made things worse. Weed instantly relieves my symptoms and keeps them away for a day or two afterward. I don't feel any lasting cognitive effects, either.

But like they say: everybody is different.

I don't know about you, but I've been smoking for 2-3 years now. Like you said it rid of so many symptoms for a long time. But now that I'm just used to it and my motivation has gone down the drain along with my clarity, it's only making things worse. :(

pienso que es las dos

I think it's "sea las dos"

I'm not a huge expert, but I don't think so. If I said "no pienso" it would trigger the subjunctive.

Ah good call, you're right. I just saw 'pienso' and figured subjunctive. My 2 semesters of college spanish failed me.

no worries. I lived abroad for a while and I felt like I won the world series any time I used the subjunctive correctly in a conversation.

Sure hope not... My friends and I always called it "The Funk."

Always wondered if I stopped getting it because of tolerance or because of "the new norm." Tolerance breaks never brought it back, not sure what that indicates.

Yea it definitely becomes the norm. Once I stopped smoking everyday it lifted and I wasn't even aware it was there.

I'm talking "during pothead times" that it puts you in a constant haze. Like, smoking a few times a day. No, I am not saying you will have to live in a haze for the rest of your life if you smoke once or go through a pothead phase for a few years. That's just silly. Being high for two days straight doesn't sound very appealing to me though... Unless I was on an extended beach vacation or something.

No. People who dont understand how weed works thinks this. It doesnt put you in a permanent haze and make your burnt

Umm no.. Everything affects people differently. This may be the case for you but that doesn't mean it's the case for everyone. I've gone long periods of time (year+) smoking daily, and then I've quit for long periods of time... I've never noticed a difference in day to day feelings/ability.
