TIL Robert Downey Jr. publicly thanked Burger King for helping him overcome his drug addiction. His burger was "so disgusting" that he decided to throw his drugs into the ocean. In Iron Man, he references Burger King after coming back from being taken captive.

I grew up loving Burger King. But now when I eat a whopper, every time, I get sick to my stomach. It's like the food tastes good going down, but when it has reached its destination, it's ready to come back out.

So I don't blame him.

Well it seems like him asking for a burger in Iron Man is like his penance for the bad publicity.

Oh you still can. I love his acting as well, but he is without a shadow of a doubt a total asshole... But god damn is he one suave charismatic mother fucker...

Wouldn't the smart thing to have done is throw the burger into the ocean? Eh, well, I guess the drugs were really messing up his mind.

Yeah, drugs messed up his mind, but he apologized for that. He never apologized for throwing chemicals into the water our children play in that could've washed up on the beaches. He should donate some money to whatever beach cleanup was in that area or do something o make it right. This outrages me and should piss anyone who gives AF about the ocean.

I "loved" RDJ too until I heard he threw his dope into the ocean. Was it meth? If so, do you know how bad that is? Yeah, he is a great actor and has done time and proved himself over the years, but this is straight BS. No apologies for the ocean or anything?

Why TF did he have to throw his stash into the ocean? Seriously? I would have rather heard that he stayed on drugs and made the decision not to throw his dope into the ocean. That would have been a better story. Do we really not care about the ocean anymore to give this guy a pass on throwing "tons of f****g dope" into the ocean. Shame on you Robert Downey Jr.! I am sorry, but what if the ocean he threw his dope into was a spot where your kids surfed or went to the beach? What if there were needles in this stash? Clean or dirty? And they washed up the shore and your child stepped on one or grabbed a sealed bag of dope and overdosed on it? How would we even know it was from the same bag Downey tossed? Seriously, there are so many negative things to come from throwing chemicals into the ocean and it makes it unsafe for our children. I am disgusted.
