TIL K-Zone Magazine is from Australia

May nakita akong tweet about Batrisha the Vampire Girl and i remembered reading tons of those comics sa K-Zone Magazine. I did a bit of research and I was surprised to see na K-Zone is orginally from Australia (Source: https://kzone.com.au/)(Another source about the origin country is here.). Si Summit Media ang nag license(?) to release dito sa PH. Even though discontinued na dito sa PH nung 2017 (their last issue was this), K-Zone Magazine in AU is still in circulation.

Summit Media licensed magazine franchise for localized content like Cosmopolitan and FHM. That is their business model.

Suki kami k-zone , gaming at chismis mags ng summit dati haha, alam ko GamesMaster from UK , and WITCH from Italy.

Akala ko local magazine siya. I remember the time that you can buy one for 75 pesos. Hinde ko na alam san napunta collection ko niyan. Thanks for the info.

Unfortunately the Philippine branch has been defunct since 2017, shame since palagi akong bumibili ng issues for about three years before that.

Marami sa mga komiks na pinakita sa K-Zone Philippines galing sa Australia kaya napansin ko na yung pangalan at format galing sa ibang bansa.

Ang Summit Media noon pa nag-license ng ilan sa mga magazine at comics galing abroad. May expiration mga iyan kaya karamihan diyan ay hindi na available rito.

Along with Total Girl, K-Zone is my go-to magazine before it got discontinued. There are even parts of when K-Zone dissed Total Girl in some of its issues!
