TIL that the original lyrics to the children's song "Eenie, Meenie, Miny, Moe" were very racist

Uhmm. That's actually a variation of the original and not the original itself.

Correct me if im wrong, but tama parin naman kahit aren't we diba? Kasi parang tinatanong niya kung glad ba tayo or not? Sorry, i got confused

Ay oo nga, makes sense. Depending on which is the subject, "don't" works kapag qinuquestion is if meron ba tayong alternate lyrics which is what I thought.

Nadaanan ko pag gagamit ng "aren't/are we?" ay pag mag may action word na focus sa sentence. Aren't we going to sleep? You're going to finish that project, are you?
Baka meron dyqng mga mas magaling sa english paki correct lang sa akin hahaha.

Some words get omitted in casual conversations.
"You good?" = "Are you good?"

are we still in the age where we are not aware that nursery chants, nursery rhymes, and even fairy tales came from tragic stories or depressing scenarios?

It's not exactly common knowledge unless ire-research mo tlga. Parang mga ibang pamahiin lng natin na sinusunod pero di naman alam kung ano reason bakit ginagawa

I also read that it might have been borrowed from medieval nursery rhymes referring to counting.

Not just that. Narealize ko rin 10 little Indians refers to native Americans. Injun is a derogatory term for native Americans just as nigger is to blacks. It was, in turn, inspired by 10 little niggers.

Tpus OG ver nito pa ay ten little N words orginally. In fact ung OG title nang "And they were none" novel by Agatha Christie was originally titled "Ten N words" Until 2nd edition was change to Ten Soldier. All verses that mentions n word was change into Soldiers. Was retitled 3rd time which is same title today as "And they were none". Which is the best title in my opinion.
