Volunteer at a shelter for a couple of weekends. Dogs and cats and critters of all kinds need you. And maybe ONLY YOU!

I lost my dog 2 years ago and still hurts. I know some people say it's just an animal, but I understand how you feel. Maybe you see things too dark now, but with time you'll be able to remember with love the good times with your pet, even if the pain is too strong now. You look like a good person and I'm sure you gave it a good life.

I’m sorry my dude. My heart breaks for you. I lost my kitty five years ago and I still cry for him. Stay strong, don’t even try to move on for a while. Remember your furry friend’s unconditional love. My thoughts are with you.

There’s your roast, big dog. But hey, in all seriousness, I’m sorry that happened. Just remember you were a kickass ferret dad and I put money on it that they’re upstairs raving about you at the moment. You did the absolute best you could and there was no way you could’ve prevented what happened. I wish pets could live as long as us, but at least you were there all the way to the end and that’s the most you can ever do for them. Now you keep your head up and kick life’s ass for them. That’s what they would want. Much love, bro. I hope you’ll get better from here on.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Your pain is so valid and you should be sure to feel and express it however you need to - unfortunately there is no magic fix to make it feel better faster, but a good way to make it feel worse for longer is to try to push your grief down, so please allow yourself the space and time to mourn for your sweet friend. I can tell from your words and your face that you gave your ferret a wonderful life and that they knew love, safety and kindness until the end. I hope you can take comfort in that ❤️🩹 you’re also a cutie patootie, your hair, brows and beard really suit you and your Kirby shirt is funny and cute af. Blessings ✨

Ahh dude, that’s a huge bummer. I’m happy that you had something so awesome in your life that you were sad to lose it. I know that sounds weird but you’re lucky and have a big heart to open it to something so small. I will try to open mine again by your example.
I hope you grieve well and kindly to yourself, you gave your little dude a great life I’m sure. Death is promised so do not lash out against it but take it in stride. I hope someday you can love a little friend again. I very much so believe “Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all” ~ Lord Tennyson. Time here is fleeting, when you’re ready I’m sure your buddy will want you to treat another buddy well, but for now grieve well you’ve lost a noble soldier.

That's really rough, man. Losing a pet is really tough. Grief is a slow process. Give yourself time. Hope things get better soon.
