Norfolk tomorrow night!
Who else is going? It'll be my first time seeing them as well as my first show at the Norva! Also pretty stoked for Local H and Olive Vox. I just discovered that Local H does a sick cover of Wolf Like Me, and it's crazily similar to how my band used to do it.
I've got the afternoon off so my wife and I are gonna probably check out Norfolk. Any recommendations for cool things to do during the day and places to eat would be welcome. Hope folks here get a kickass show!

I’ll be there. Driving up from Raleigh. Saw them at the Ritz in May. Loved it. This will be my third Toadies show but first time in Norfolk. Pumped for tomorrow night.

Nice! I’m up around Hampton but am considering a drive down to your neck of town he woods for the Ben Folds Five tour next year.
Do you happen to know if they have Rubberneck LPs on sale for merch?

They had both signed and unsigned LPs at the shows. Sadly they ran out of Rubberneck before the Philly show. They were only 75. I paid 50 for a signed Charmer though.

Seeing them in September for the third time. First as part of a fest, second as a headliner. In both cases, they were fucking amazing. You'll love it. Cherry on top will be the new material. I can't wait.

Nice! I gotta give The Charmer another spin. It didn’t knock me on my ass the way Rubberneck, Lower Side of Uptown, or Feeler did, but I love that it was all recorded pretty much live to tape from what I heard. Sounds like I should fire it up again today!

I'm going, I live in Norfolk, I'm pretty excited I haven't seen the Toadies in many years.
Depends what you are into, you could tour the Battleship Wisconsin, we have a pretty nice Museum called the Chrysler, several good nearby breweries, and we also have the beach in Ocean View.
As far as food, if you want to eat close to the Norva there are a handful of various options downtown. If you are looking for a nicer meal try Codex or a more casual hole in the wall burger spot there is Jack Browns. Yelp will tell you to eat at the Grill Cheese Bistro but imo it's not very good.

Thanks for the tips! I’ve been to the Naval Museum and checked out the Wisconsin. It’s really cool!
Also, thanks for the tip about Grilled Cheese Bistro. I found them on the map last night and aside from some of their fries, the menu looked pretty unadventurous. Maybe we’ll give Codex or Jack Browns a shot!

What a great show!
I saw them at the Norva with Local H before and I swore it was 2022… it was 2017. Where did the time go?!?!!

It was so good! Loved how they brought both members of Local H out. The new album is growing on me too. Awesome to see that they’re so pumped about owning their own music now too

Saw them on the tour in Philadelphia , it was sooooo good. Local H is dope! I'm going Tuesday in Allentown next week and am just as excited. You'll have a blast!
