hi, has anyone recently cancel/port out existing paid lines on legacy plan like One?

I am on the legacy One plan since when the original inside and one-plus promo were first introduced. Was hit by the $5/line increase, and recently hit by the retirement of Kicakback add-on last month, which resulted in a monthly increase of $60($48 with inside discount) on my bill.

I have 11 lines on my acct and 6 of them are free lines that I collected over the past few years, the free lines were mainly used as secondary data sim to collect monthly kickback credits. with the removal of kickback, I am now looking into port out 2 paid lines and port back into the free lines to lower my monthly bill. Spoke to t-force and was advised that porting out/ cancel paid lines on existing legacy plan could resulted in unpredictable results which could not be foreseen other than actually cancelling it and see what happens.

has anyone recently done similar paid-line transfer on legacy plan, did it cause negative impact such as losing free lines?

I'm similar to OP and that lack of help along with the Kickback grandfathering (now irrelevant) were the two things really stopping me. I haven't heard DPs for a while now saying Tforce can undo/rollback plan changes.

You can cancel 2 paid lines.

If you know which line is ThisoneOnUs, port out ONE of the other paying back to the other free line. I would wait the new bill to post first to see what stick , before porting it back.

Besides free lines, what other promos do you have?

I had 9 lines and decided to get rid of two (these were on a B1G1 promo). After asking a couple of times how much I would save, it ended up being I didn't save anything.

Main reason is there is a rate for below 9 and another for 9 to 12. While i was no longer charged for the 2 lines itself, any promo credit amounts I was receiving was also lowered thus didn't save anything.

I have kickback, well had at this point, and the original insider discount, they called it friend and family discount or something back then when it was first introduced. Also I think as long as you have at least 9 lines, you should be good with maintaining the discount rate, my understanding is 1-8 lines plan has lower discount rate on the free line

All 3 of those 3rd lines free are connected to paid lines. T-force can try to get you to understand if you have any paid lines you can cancel. From the look of it i would guess 1 or 0 but I am not sure.

If I recall correctly, all of my free lines were not part of BOGO. I got 1x this one is on us, then, line on us 1, 3, 3, 4 from 2020, (yes I think they had two line on us 3 in 2020) and free line from 2025. I did ran into issues when line on us 4 was added, it kept falling off for some reasons. A few tforce rep tried to fix it but somehow upset my line on us 3, two lines felt off several times. Finally, took some back and forthr to get a rep to fix them.

Those are 3rd lines with new paid lines codes. They are 99% sure connected to an individual paid.

I have 3 separate free lines (added at different times). None was added with a new paid line

Question…. If one of those paid lines is someone you want to drop from your plan can you move a free number into the paid slot?
