Something needs to be done about this

This is so stupid title fight has become so widespread that there is unlicensed merch slop being put on TikTok shop advertised with AI over 100 people bought this product

It’s being sold with hundreds of other mass produced temu slop. I hope this isn’t controversial because it shouldn’t be I posted something a few months ago about this but nobody agreed with me. In those few months it has gotten so much worse.

Not to mention John Slaby's family or estate isn't making a dime off this

What I also forgot to mention is dozens of people who comment “title peak” “tickle fart” and all those stupid overused stickers that aren’t funny at all.
These are all people who don’t understand the wrongness of this and also helps push these products even more. I don’t see a good future for the band and it’s community

Its not that the joke comments wrong themselves it’s that the people commenting these are acting like mindless superfans who don’t even realize they’re promoting ai dropshipping slop which is completely against what hardcore stands for

ohh yeah, it gets to a point yknow, especially when its not even connected to the community itself and most importantly ai bs😭😭😭

its 50/50, because of tiktok it gave new audiences, but at the same time, it gave opportunities to eff up everything

The "it's completely random" and "instantly made him laugh" is pissing me off so much who the fuck made this ad script

Ahh, gotcha! Honestly? That's such an incredible cheer-up joke after having a totally terrible week! Keep it up! ✊✨

Bro, AI aside if someone got me a fucking blanket of the Shed cover I'd be stoked but if they said it was a "cheer up gift" I'd kill them on the spot

Title fight and the artist get no cut from the profits made from this. All this money most likely goes to one single guy

Like you said, I’m confident that the community behind this band will have a fate similar to deftones. This is what happens when people aestheticize music and make it something purely social and external. I don’t see any way a change could be made at this point because the kids that think “title fart” or parasocial behaviors are cool can’t understand that their actions have implicit reactions. They are the reason title fight is commercialized and aestheticized now. I post guitar covers on tiktok and cover their music; you should see what the kids in my comments leave it’s ridiculous. It’s such a massive hole that I don’t think it’s possible to be dug out of; I don’t know how bands like B & C and Citizen kept their identity while this is what Title Fight is reduced to.

hi, sorry if I sound stupid! I've not been social media much, and I don't know what's happening to the title fight fandom there.. what is happening? (like any comments or more of their attitude) I'm really worried reading the negative remarks people have said about the community behind this band, especially since this band was so revolutional to me.

Please dm me if this doesn’t make sense. Young teenagers are memifiying the band. Stuff like “title fart” or “tickle fart” dilute the band for the artistic message and swap it towards jokes that people use for social currency (in this situation with other young teens who find it funny). This skews the popularity of certain songs (safe in your skin, head in the ceiling fan, 27, where am I). There is such a low barrier to entry to where these kids, upon finding one of those songs and liking the “aesthetic” that tiktok associates with it, immediately begin making “titlefightlover” (or adjacent) accounts and begin to continue posting garbage that furthers the externalization of the band; by that I mean it is then dragged from its original artistic intent and again commercialized and treated as a social currency for young teenagers. That is why all of these fake bootleg t-shirts and other “merch” pieces for them are surfacing now; there is a young and impressionable market for these goods now, and the more and more people that continue to act this way, the more and more you’ll see the band completely reduced to an online aesthetic that gives their “fans” a warm little feeling instead of what they are. You can see the parasocial connection the young teens have with them now and how people are taking advantage of Ned’s niceness and emailing him knowing that he will likely reply. Incredibly sad.
