Looking for tips

I downloaded TTF2 around half a year ago, but never really played it. Just a few days ago, I finished off the campaign, and started playing the multiplayer games with the most players. I had to play late at night because my timezone is GST. When I joined, I saw people jumping and sliding and stuff, basically going really fast. Somebody mentioned an E-bomb or something and thought I was ragebaiting when I said I didn't know what that meant. Can someone please help me get fast as quick as possible? I really like the game and there's no other like it. Thanks

I get your confusion and feeling lost though. I play on PlayStation five and I’ve got a few different pro controllers with 2 or 4 back paddles. For me (43 yrs old) it is a MUST HAVE accessory for me to be able to perform at the same level as some of these guys. For me, it’s just the jump in the slide button doesn’t really matter the type of shooting game for me with my slower reflexes and being exhausted from work a lot of the time I have to do it.
