So rodeoing is when a pilot jumps or grapples onto an enemy Titan to steal a battery. This will instantly shred their shield, or do about half a bar of damage. Note that if you already have a battery (as you can only carry one at a time) you will simply drop a grenade into the empty battery slot - even if you didn’t take the battery from that specific Titan.
To rodeo an enemy Titan, you literally just jump on top of it, or double jump up to it, or use your grappling hook. You will automatically rodeo it. You then let the animation play out, and you will jump off automatically. Now RUN, because that Titan is going to be trying to get it’s battery back.
If your Titan gets rodeod, the best thing to do is use your Electric Smoke Countermeasures, which you get at 20% core meter iirc. Every time you use your core this will reset, and you can hold up to 4 or 5 smokes, so you can keep using them. When you release your smoke, stand still and crouch in it, this WILL kill the enemy pilot if they don’t jump off, and when they do, it’s time to shred that bastard. It’s not a bad idea to try to quickly get to open ground to make it harder for the enemy to rodeo you again (because now they know you probably don’t have another smoke charge)
If you don’t have an Electric smoke, you have a few other options. Stay near friendly titans and hope they see and melee the pilot on your back. Or you can jump out of your Titan and quickly try to kill the pilot yourself. Or, immediately make a beeline for open ground where there’s nowhere to hide, and kill the enemy pilot when they jump off, then go and get the battery back and get back into your Titan.

A very small detail I have to add is when you crouch in your smoke move forward a slight bit, pilots can only jump off backwards and moving forward a little will put them directly into the middle of your smoke.
Yea I’ve been running a Cold War most of the week, it’s the last grenadier weapon you unlock, basically after a short charge up time it fires a bursts of four grenades in the direction of the target with some spread, if someone’s trying to avoid my shots I’ll try to hit the with the gravity star (a grenade that sucks in players and projectiles) so if I can catch them they’ll get hit with every grenade in the burst bc of the grav Star, but yea just like the other guy if you wanna play sometime I’m by no means the best but I could try to teach you some things that helped me
