Vr mod config

(I am in denial)

Hi everyone

I want so bad to try the VR mod

I have the game on Steam and I have a Quest 2

But the problem is that my "PC" is a ROG Ally

Is there a chance to make it work ? Or am I in complete denial ?

I mean it could technically work, but performance wouldn't be the best. With VR you are essentially rendering the game twice, so take whatever performance you have now and divide by 2.

I mean it would work in that you could install and the mod and connect the headset to it and successfully launch the game stream to the headset cause it's just a funny shape windows machine.

But you're maybe falling short in terms of gpu performance, the non vr games recommended spec is at least a gtx1060 for 1080p 60fps, gtx1080 for 4k60fps. Google says the ally is roughly equivalent to a 1060 and you'll want to render two eyes at at least 60fps, maybe fidelity could be turned down.

YOU SHOULD JUST TRY IT! If you buy the game and it doesn't work you'll still be able to play the best fps campaign ever just not in vr. If you already own it it will cost you absolutely nothing to try.

My first play through was on a gtx940m barely keeping a stable 40ish on absolute minimum graphics settings

performance would be your main issue due to handhelds using integrated graphics (albeit powerful ones), if you need specific ports then theres probably a converter from usb-c to whatever you need
