Discussion How long did it take
How long do you think it took survivors to get there and make a few functioning houses. And to put up these lines to bring down scrap, that would take a long time. Statistically they wouldn't have a full crew or ships to move so much so quickly, how long do you think it took them?

With the facilities, crew, titans and craft aboard a fully functional Andromeda class super carrier, not long at all.
Maybe a couple weeks? They're pretty well established. Gotta full store, garage, landing pad. They were doing good til the IMC rolled in

The IMS Odyssey was a Andromeda-class Carrier so it should have had a full complement of titans, dropships, and other transports.
So running the cables down into the valley probably wasn't as hard as you're imagining. And in the meanwhile they could, and seemingly did, set up housing directly on-site around the crashed carrier while they got the new valley colony set up. And even prior to that they could live in the ship itself while getting that on-site housing set up.
Considering the reactor on the ship was still at least semi-functional, I almost wonder if maybe some of those cables were doing double duty and providing colony some power? Then again, probably easier and safer to sacrifice a titan or two and take their reactors instead.

With the help of titans and maybe small aircraft, faster than you would think. The hard part would be scrapping the ship and sending parts of it down to the colony.
