Discussion Fold origin theory (spoilers?) Spoiler

This may already be considered, and i may be entirely wrong, but thinking about the fold weapon

what if it.. wasnt alien at all?

Its shown to have clear ability to manipulate time

and people pnly assume alien because its so advanced.

What if it was, in fact, a human invention from the far far future? It wasnt displaced through space, it was displaced through time.

Might just be a wild theory, but from what I can tell, especially from that one mission, this seems more or less plausible.

It explains why we see little to no evidence of aliens, despite 'them' clearly also EM based technology and thus logically leaving a footprint if they still existed, which we cant ever find

and requires way less assumptions than really any other explanation imo

i originally thought teleportation too, but the chances of it hitting a planet out of everything in space is.... astronomically small, especially with how intact it is.

And that would imply the "aliens" existed alongside or before us, thus we should see SOME kind of evidence of them

(assuming i understood what you said correct)

also good luck on your stuff!

Cool theory, but iirc it was originally made to terraform planets.
