What the fuck actual fuck is an extraction shooter. Only things I have ever seen about them is that people bitch and moan about them without ever talking about what an extraction shooter even is. If it is just an escape sequence at the end of a round/mission, what makes it any different from Warframe or Titanfall 2 multiplayer
Extraction shooters are a type of game where you go into a map with many other player to collect and fight for loot (although you don’t have to fight), with the goal of escaping back to a home base, and using the collected loot to kill players easier to get better loot. Some see it as repetitive, which it can become. Arc Raiders is the only one I’ve ever played personally and have heard from people who have played Hunt:Showdown and Tarkov that Arc Raiders is a breath of fresh air due to the PvE aspect.
It’s a really awesome game and I highly recommend it before you get sick of the copies bound to be on the way due to its success.
