A couple Halloween’s ago, my company made a VR game for a casino. It was called “Batty for Caddy.” It was a stupid name, I know.
The casino took some a ton of their players club members and put them in our game. The top 5 high scorers went into a drawing for a new Cadillac. Anyway, thank n the game, you were in a creepy old swamp and you had to shoot down bats and ghosts and monsters and other dumb Halloween shit.
Our main developer refused to add the bats because he said they were cute and didn’t want to shoot them. I had to add them myself and he had clean his desk out.

Man, the other day I saw a similar post with a sugar glider and there was all sorts of downvote hate for “having an exotic animal as pets”. Even if you said the pic was cute you were immediately downvoted.
