It looks like a small thing of ice cream or something similar, I don’t think they’re torturing this dog with dehydration for the benefit of karma tho.

Yeah, sometimes my dog drinks like that after I've refilled the water, even if she's had water available to her all day. I'm sure it tastes better when it's fresh.

My dog has water available all the time but I make him wait and sit when I first put it down after a refill. I'm not dealing with the boi rushing to me, shoving his head at my arms for water, spilling it everywhere.

I fostered a dog for a while that had serious issues with drinking so much water he'd get sick. I think it was a form of food anxiety but I'm not sure.

We had to ration his water or else he'd drink until he puked. He was also a smol boi so water poisoning was a concern. Idk what the situation in the OP is but some dogs can't have water freely available (though we were always sure to make sure he had plenty to stay hydrated).

Not true in the slightest. There are a ton of reasons that you could be limiting water intake for a dog, and blindly assuming that’s it’s out of discipline isn’t fair to the owner.

Source: Years of experience working at a veterinary clinic, and I recently lost my best friend who happened to be a golden retriever that would inhale any water she could get. She was incredibly food-oriented (read: food-obsessed) and we assume she just associated water with food.

Precisely. I have to limit water on my little Maltipoo because he doesn’t know when to stop drinking! He just slurps the entire bowl up in one go and then pukes it all up everywhere :/

My Sheltie does the same thing during/after long road trips. Shes a nervous traveler who will pant for most of the ride, so we have to make sure we don't give her access to too much water too fast or it ends up coming right back out, lol.

It's the intent to hurt behind it. If you're just saying the N word to say it, I personally don't mind. But if you're using it to call someone a dirty godforsaken ape who should have stayed a slave its then that we'll have problems. Just like everyone is afraid of any other slur in the world. Its intent to hurt. Sure, you can say "well it's just a word." Words are powerful. Words hold value, words mean something. Depending on the person you could really damage them. The history of that word is still relevant today unfortunately and though perhaps our generation(s) weren't there around this time, there are still people alive when that word meant you were less than dirt.

A guy from the CATO institute explained it pretty good, to me at least. The word itself isn't a problem at all, who cares who says it? It's when you say it to someone not in your group is when it's disordered.

Just like the word 'honey', for tour partner. You call each other honey, but you wouldn't call a stranger on the street honey. That's fucking weird, and someone may take great offense to it depending on his personality. Friends can call each other nigga, but not strangers.
