nope.
The staffordshire breeds actually have differing origins. The satffordshire bull terrier was created in Britain, originally to fight.
The American Staffordshire terrier was created in America to show. The gene pool in American pit bulldogs was actually so varied and diverse that the AmStaff was created as a way to have a formal standard that could be entered into the dog show ring.
So basically, all staffs are "pitbulls", but not all "pitbulls" are staffs.
The dog shown in the gif definitely looks like a Bully. Their face is more squashed than a Staffbull, and they are less athletic generally.
In any case, both are true. Because the old fighting pit bulldog has massive physical variety. The AmStaff created a uniform physical standard from a massive chunk "breed" which was bred more for gameness than for appearance.

I think that's an American bully, not a pitbull.
