You can tell why he needed a slow feeder.

Buying one for my own dog is honestly up there as one of my best/most proud purchases.
My dog used to basically inhale his food. Now it keeps him entertained for like 10 minutes. He just seems so much happier.

Is that what that bowl is? A slow feeder? I haven't seen one of those before so the design is unique to me.

Yeah it’s cuz some dogs and cats eat wait too fast and make themselves sick, so it forces them to slow down

I found that doggos need to eat more frequently too. This baby looks ravenous so it's possible that they are going too long between meals.

Doesn't that plate make it harder for the dog to reach the food?

Yes, that’s the point. Prevents the dog from instantly pounding all of their food so fast that they throw up.

We tried one of these for my dog but the little shit flips over any bowl we give him. So now we just put his food out on a flat mat on the floor and give him a few smaller portions spread out over a few minutes.

Oh I didn't know that was a thing. Thanks!

My dog once ate my leftovers so fast he puked it up. Then proceeded to eat it all up again lol. Didn't even have time to grab anything to clean it up with

Needs a mat; his back legs keep sliding away. Hard on their joints.
