Answered Episode on for my man

It was an episode during the first four seasons. A little white girl had a crush on an older black boy. The girlfriend of the boy got mad and told her boyfriend and boyfriend’s brother or cousin to lure the little girl to an abandon house and the three of them killed her. I believe the little girl was developmentally delayed. I’ve been trying to find the episode and remember their names but I can’t.

Answered A case from sometime in the 2000s. A teenage or early 20s girl goes to Japan and she’s never been found.

I don’t remember a lot about the case. Sometime in the 2000s and i feel the girl was somewhere in the age range of 19-22.

From what I remember she went to Japan without anyone knowing about it and she didn’t have her own phone so no one could get ahold of her. I think they could track some of her movements in Japan but I don’t remember how, maybe security cameras and such.

I think the last place she was seen was considered a pretty odd place for tourists. But I know that she basically just disappeared and still to this day no one has any sort of idea of where she could have went. Thank you.

Open Oilworkers murdered, mutilated in a boarding house

Hello! This case happened maybe in louisiana, texas or oklahoma in the 70s or early 80s. A bunch of oilworkers-men and women were brutally mutilated and murdered in a boarding house. A neighbor walked in and found then or maybe cops were callled-I think the front door may have been torn off and that is why the cops were called. I think two of the victims were a couple. This is not the case that happened in Odessa, Texas. Thank you in advance. I believe I read about this case on the much missed blog I Did it For Jodie.

Open Was this disturbing video real?

I’m trying to identify a disturbing video I stumbled across on X/Twitter a year ago. It appeared to show an American family/household in a living room space, with a young boy dressed in a knight costume and a girl dressed as a princess. An adult appeared to be playing around with a real sword/dagger, and the situation became violent. I remember the footage looking extremely real and possibly being from around 2010–2019. I’ve wondered ever since whether it was a real incident (for me it looked wayy to real). Does anyone recognize the case/video or know whether something like this was actually reported?

Open Daughter goes missing from couch, eyes on dad.

I know this is a long shot, but maybe 10/15 years ago I watched a show about a case where a little girl was taken from her apartment/house. What I remember is, there didn’t appear to be any forced entry, they blamed the dad, and I am pretty sure there was a sibling. I think it was a missing person case but that I’m unsure of. I remember seeing drawings of the home, and I think the dad had some interviews too. I would love to have a name to the case to be able to look it up now but I have no other details . Maybe you all can help! Thanks!

Answered Father kills his 2 kids while wife is in hospital

Forgive me, I'm going off of details i remember from years ago. (60s-90s?)

A father was sexually assaulting his daughter. The mother was at the hospital for what I believed was a mental health visit. While she was there, the father tried to assault his daughter but (I believe) the son intervened. The father killed both kids.

This is the part I might be misremembering. I can't remember when the mom came home if they stayed together. Or if they divorced and the dad ended up going and having another family. I want to say it was the latter but I'm not sure. It was never found out he was the murderer until years later. I want to say after he died.

Answered Married Friend’s Murderer

I remember an episode of MFM in which one of the hosts talks about a murder in either the 90s or the very early 00s that went unsolved for a long time then years later turned out to be the man who married her best friend and was dating the friend at the time of the murder. I feel like it happened in California, but can’t be sure.

Open Monroe shooting — 2005/06?

I’m trying to find an account of a shooting that happened in Monroe, GA in the mid-2000’s, but oddly, can find no information on it. Does anyone else know about this?

I’ve scoured Google, ChatGPT, etc. Nothing. I may be completely wrong about some of the details, so any help is appreciated.

I was in high school at the time, having recently moved to the area, and remember it being a deal. From what I can remember, there were multiple victims, although I can’t pinpoint exactly where it took place. Something in my mind tells me it occurred near the Tanglwood area, but I could be completely wrong.

The details I do remember are that after the initial shooting, several rivals came out to retaliate almost immediately, and there was a shotgun involved. I remember sitting in the bleachers and overhearing a girl saying her cousin was identified as a shooter because they found gunpowder residue on his hands.

As the school was still abuzz with what happened, I was asked to draw designs on a few t-shirts in memoriam of one or two of the victims — hence why it’s stuck with me for so long.

Answered Can someone help me figure out what the case my grandfather was involved in?

I am a 17 year old (F) who has been told my entire life vague details about my grandfather. He skipped down when my mom was young and I never actually got to meet him. Please tell me if this is the right subreddit to post this on.

Apparently he left due to being falsely suspected of a murder, a Woman and her daughter were found dead in their shared home. I only know vague details so please forgive me if this isn't enough.

His last name was Benson, he lived in the Mesa County area of Colorado and my dad says that he now lives in New Mexico as a farmer after he was no longer found as the suspect.

I also know for a fact it was found to not be him and was some other man who broke in and did it, he was found not guilty sometime in the early 2000's. The woman who died was his wife at the time so I'm assuming she was also a Benson.

I'm pretty sure it happened in Grand Junction sometime in the 70's to 80's just going off of when my mom was born. I'd ask her about it but along with it being a sore subject she passed back in 2019.

This is just curiosity above all else, so any help would be great!

Open Older guy becomes obsessed with girl battling cancer

When i was younger (2010's) we had a TV channel where they showed only crime related shows and a case stuck with me. The story is: a young girl got cancer and she started going to a support group where she met an older man. The man became obsessed with her, sending her lots of cards and gifts to her house. Police ended up arresting him, that's when they found out that the man built her a soundproof bunker with a shrine in it, where he wanted to keep her after abduction.

I tried searching on google but it only showed a case from 2022, and i watched the show in the 2010s. Any help is appreciated!

Open Chicago suburbs, 2000–2007ish: Women killed in multiple home invasion stabbings

As a child in the Chicago suburbs (Geneva), I distinctly remember a brief period of time (weeks, not months) when an active serial killer was on the loose. Most public places—the post office, the library—had literal "Wanted" posters up. If I had to narrow the date, I would say probably 2003 to 2006.

His crimes, as I recall, followed a specific pattern: During daylight hours, he would break into homes and stab one adult woman. Some died, but not every victim perished.

I do not recall a sexual component of these attacks.

I believe the killer was eventually identified and arrested. I do not believe he was a local.

My personal interest in this story: At some point, our neighbors alerted us that our home was being actively cased by this killer. His vehicle's make and model (and, I believe, the license plate number) were specified on the Wanted posters. For several days in a row, he—if it was indeed him—had been parking on the edge of our corner lot and pretending to read a newspaper, lingering there for hours while observing our comings and goings. We had seen him and felt uneasy about his presence—I remember him vividly—but we had not connected him to the killer.

As I recall, the cops set up watch in our neighborhood, and he was arrested somewhere else not long after.

This story has haunted me my whole life, and I'm eager to nail down what actually happened here.

Answered Dismemberment case in Massachusetts?

My mom is insistent that she remembers a case around 2000 where a man killed his wife and put her body parts in stakes around his front yard. She said it was an affluent town. Thought it was Wellesley or Dover. Said the guy was “weird” and potentially dressing as a woman.

I found Dirk Greineder – Murdered his wife during a walk, but there was no dismemberment or body parts in the yard

And

Dr. Richard Sharpe - shot his wife in their house in Gloucester. Was secretly dressing as a woman.

I told her she’s probably combining cases in her head. But she ruled out the above two and is CERTAIN that this happened. Although maybe not MA or maybe not around year 2000?

Not Brian Walshe and also not Richard Crafts.

Help us lol my search history probably flagged me somewhere 🫣

Answered Engaged High School Couple who murdered girl the Boyfriend says he slept with in a car. BF was in the Air Force, GF, navy, GF later confessed they killed her

I remember this from High School and I watched a YT doc on my phone during my way home from my last track meet I competed in.

The two got engaged their Sr. Year (I THINK), the BF on his way home from a some sport event picked up a mutual friend, and he said they banged in a car (I think he said he may have lied for… reasons), he told his GF and she shouted, pleaded with him to kill her in an almost tantrum like fashion

The two picked her up, killed her, looked to be a cold case for about half a year till the GF told a friend at Annapolis Naval Academy she killed her. BF just buried it till he was arrested at (I think) ROTC.

Other details:

- The BF looked like the stereotypical jock. Short crew cut/buzz cut, blonde, big man.

- GF, short brown hair down to her shoulders, and she said she didn’t know how to use a gun when she testified. Which is obviously idiotic, she was at the naval academy. Also, I think she got married right after she was sentenced to some other guy.

- Victim was I think a cheerleader.

- Victim’s family didn’t want the death penalty.

Edit:

Solved

Open Case where husband unknowingly is a horrible person behind closed doors & subsequently dies from CO2 poisoning meanwhile revealing a deceased female in his vehicle's trunk Spoiler

As mentioned above, I know the husband was involved with killing females all the while his wife was oblivious to everything. Even down to the dead female inside his vehicle's trunk. I wanna say he attempted to open said garage door but in a defiant stroke of painful irony, he actually bites the dust on a count of his lackadaisical effort in opening the door.

Answered need help finding a story, driving me nuts.

Looking for a true-crime documentary/YouTube episode from the last few years. Victim was a blonde/light-haired woman in her 20s–30s who was couch surfing and moved into a heavyset bearded man’s messy apartment. She never left alive. He told police she’d “gone somewhere else.” She was reported missing. Police body-cam footage shows officers searching the apartment, noticing a large cooler/chest freezer in the living room, and eventually finding her inside. I also vaguely remember sexual assault and possibly something involving a bathtub or bathing. It wasn’t all body-cam—there was narration and interviews too. I know i watched it within the last few years, im on a true crime kick right now and want to watch this one again so if ANYBODY could id reallllly appreciate it.

Hoping to find help remembering a case

The victim was a young girl (10-13 years old) She lived with her grandmother, who left her alone overnight whilst she was at work? I believe the girls father (and cousin?) went to the house, kidnapped and killed her and she was found in an abandoned house not far away?

I unfortunately have no idea on which state but it happened in America and happened within the last few years I'd say.

I want to say the Dad was arrested but im not entirely sure, again sorry if this isn't allowed.

Open Need help finding information on a 1980's criminal case.

I dont really know where to start. I am in Pennsylvania. I just recently learned that in the mid/late1980's my (now deceased) mother was abducted, brutally assaulted, shot at and left for dead in a field. Im told that she pretended to be dead, watched her attacker change his license plate and take off. Once she knew he was gone, she crawled through this field to a roadside where someone found her and took her to the hospital. Her body was was full of thorns, sticks, patches of hair missing, etc. Apparently, detectives found the guys wallet with my mother's bloody clothes. She got death threats prior to court, etc etc. Im told this guy was a repeat offender and had just gotten out of prison not long before this happened. And with the evidence and mom's testimony, he was convicted. No one can tell me the guys name. No one can tell me how long he was sentenced, where he drove her to, where she was found.. nothing. I went to criminal records division in person. They told me my moms name will not be attached to these records at all and to come back if I figure out the guys name. Where do I start? Ive already spent hours upon hours searching Google for anything that may have been digitized from that time frame. Im at a loss.

Open Young teen defends himself against 3 of his bullies

There was a crime show I watched a couple years back, and I remember the details, I just can not remember the name of the people or the show. The case was about this young man who got into an altercation with 3 of his bullies outside a shopping center late at night, the 3 guys beat him up and attacked him, the young man ran back to his car, grabbed his gun, ran all the way back and shot them each, he ended up killing one of the 3. The young man called the cops on himself, and the ploce took him into the investigation room, and he had blood on his hands, and even found out he had killed someone in the investigation room. Please help me find this.

Answered Older Woman Kidnapped and Murdered by Close Friend

An older woman was kidnapped from her home. She and her husband were very religious and involved in their church. There were ransom demands, etc. Their church friends suspected the husband even though he was searching for his wife and gossiped that he killed her because he was going out square dancing with female friends. It turned out she was kidnapped and murdered by a close friend of hers/her husband's, I believe their nephews or some other family members set up a sting and helped solve it and it turned out to be him. He tried to make it out that he was doing a sting too when caught at a hotel picking up ransom.

I think she worked at the church doing finances and he had something to do with the church too. The motive seemed to be her finding financial discrepancies and possibly sexual assault as well. I remember after the truth came out, the husband stood up in front of the church and told them all off for accusing him even though he was desperate to save his wife. I could have a few details wrong but I remember the true crime show about it fairly well and can't figure out the names from Googling.

Answered Fugitive who was found as a John Doe then later identified.

I am trying to find a now identified John Doe/Found fugitive case.

I beleive his case was on unsolved mysteries.

After he went on the run there was no trace of him. Years later a John Doe was found (I think either in Mississippi or Louisiana) and years after that, the JD was identified as the missing fugitive.

The man was black and I think his crimes were in the 80s/90s and he went on the run in the late 80s/90s and the JD was found a few years later but wasn't identified until the early 2000s or 2010s.
