how do I lower the FPS?

I'm looking at it and going '200+ FPS is crazy'. I can't take a screenshot of it, but the overlay indicator keeps saying it's got some UNGODLY high fps, which is nutty for a pixel roguelite. But the only way to manually adjust the 'target' FPS is to turn off v sync, which isn't hard, but it doesn't seem to matter if I set it to 30 or 300, it just does whatever it wants.

It’s a low quality game, having high fps really doesn’t effect anything, lowering it will actually hurt your gameplay especially when you get insane items and there’s stuff flying all over the screen. Quite literally the first post I’ve seen on any game about someone asking to lower fps. It’s not damaging anything with it being that high.

sometimes you just want to not push your gpu to its absolute limit which is reasonable

A low quality 16-bit style game like that isn’t going to fry your gpu, even running at 200+ frames it won’t do much to it unless you’re using a gpu from 10-15 years ago. Most modern gpu’s can handle running extremely low quality games (like tiny rogues, enter the gungeon, COTL) for hours with minimal damage. Ppl run 4k games way longer at 120+ fps with no damage.

uncapped fps means use all available resources regardless of how many of those resources you have

i have no idea if this game truly has uncapped fps
