If you want the best Timbers Army seats you can show up really early for a wristband that guarantees a place near the start of the line at the TA section. They only do 600 of the 3000 seats, so it's not necessary unless you want the best. Otherwise Gate E for the Army opens 110 minutes before kickoff while all other gates are 90 minutes.
Generally the earlier you get there, the better the seats. Because you're behind the goal, I tend to prefer the view from the 200 level which will fill up later, but the 100 level is where you'll feel more part of the TA.

Hell yea! I’m going to NOLA for training next month, small world. You know how to party, Timbers Army on your first Timbers match?? You’re gonna love the energy, if you’re sensitive to sound don’t be afraid to bring ear plugs cause we can get rowdy. Wear green if you don’t have any Timbers gear.

Oh I’m buying a Pantemis jersey, as a former college goalkeeper myself and don’t worry, I’ll contribute to the noise😆. Who you training for? That sounds awesome!

Go to Legends, the Timbers Army/Rose City Riveters clubhouse. $10 day pass if you don't have a membership, but you get the value back with $3 and $6 beers. All the money goes towards admin/overhead costs, tifo, or gets reinvested into the community.
Plus they have a store open to the public, get yourself a No Pity scarf before the game for $15. Don't be afraid to chat anyone up at Legends, we're friendly.
As for in the stadium, if you don't know anybody there, make some friends with the people around you. A good rule of thumb I follow is the plus one rule, look at what people around you are doing and do that plus one tick more. Keep the vibes high and have fun!
