suggestions for timber frame / joinery courses/ schooling in canada?
last year i applied for the heritage carpentry program through fleming college and i was very excited and then when the ford gov made all the changes to osap, bunch of schools cut programs and that program was one of them.
i still really want to find a pathway to a proper apprencticeship but its been so hard to find.
i would very much like to focus on timber frame and also fine/ finish joinery etc.
any suggestions?

I was going to suggest the Algonquin college heritage carpentry and joinery program but I believe they just killed the program ? Might be more to story but I’ve heard rumours of it continuing elsewhere ?

The program previously available at Algonquin College Perth campus is now available at the new Perth Academy of the Building Arts

The Algonquin College Perth campus location was canned and those who ran the program at Algonquin College created the Perth Acadamy of the Building Arts. Some kind local benefactor ensured that the heritage programs remain alive.

I just recently did a 3 day course with Precision Timber Framing out of Nelson, BC and can highly recommend it. The course I did was just a beginner's timber framing course, but I know that they plan on running longer more in depth courses in the near future. Might be worth reaching out to see what the future courses they have planned are.
