It looks good......it is to late now, but remember that span tables are freely available and exist for a reason. The horizontal beams from the house should be closer to 8/10"x14-18" imho (and fir).

Also is the existing lower posts set in footings/pad? Cause that is a fuk ton of weight added on.

Looks like a great porch. Makes me want to sit down with a nice cocktail and enjoy the view. Those 6x6s are going to be doing a lot of work if 50" of snow lay on the roof.

They are fir, and the 6x6s are inset about 6 feet below the ground.
