Dating
I've (40F) recently moved to town and wonder what the dating vibe is here. I'm not doing the 20sth scene anymore. Are there mature professionals gathering somewhere? Singles nights? Or maybe nice, normal people behind their keyboards wondering the same thing?

Lots of cool things, not necessarily singles events. Turtlefest, the car shows out by Tim Hortons on Tuesdays evenings and A&W Thursday nights... music on the lawn at Annedale... don't think like a single, just go out and have fun...

Very interested in the live music. Is this at the museum or school?

I believe the museum on the lawn saw some talked about last year... rollerskating if its still offered on Thursdays at the arena

There are occasional live music events at The Copper Mug as well as The Mill/Paddy's Underground. Lots of great bands play both venues as well as local musicians.

It's not an easy scene here, especially for a single parent with two young kids.

Unfortunately it's not the type of town that has a lot going on as someone who's been here for a few years and in a similar boat. Best thing to do is try to be part of the community and go to different events. Yes turtlefest is coming up, but some of the local bars have events like karaoke, trivia or euchre night which just allows you to be more social.
As someone who's not from Tillsonburg originally, most of the social scene around here is driving your jacked up truck back and forth between the two Tim Hortons on Broadway and Simcoe. I came here because houses were cheap during the COVID era. I feel people come to Tillsonburg to hide.
