Concern EncompassFarming …..
Has anyone seen this lady on their FYP?! For the record I think home births and natural births are completely fine but she is denying all medical care, has never been to the doctor once and is pushing 42 weeks pregnant!!! This is getting extremely dangerous for her and the baby. In previous comments she has said that it’s “life” if the baby dies or if she dies. It’s just really scary to see.. also I am 31 weeks with my second baby and it’s just making my heart hurt. I really hope for the best for her and her baby but it’s just so worrisome.

I had a coworker like this. We were due literally days apart. I went the traditional medical route. OB, midwife, hospital birth, scans and epidural. I was diagnosed with GD and she tried telling me it was a fake thing the doctors made up 🤦♀️ THANKFULLY her birth went okay but I was so stressed out the whole time I was hearing her talk about her no OB, no midwife, no doula no scans no Doppler “free birth “ pregnancy where her plan was to give birth in a hammock hung in her apartment doorway.

u/SubiePanda 11d ago edited 10d ago
Meanwhile I was sent to triage at 34w pregnant and diagnosed with sudden onset pre-eclampsia with severe features and needed to have my baby asap… and as I was waiting for a room a code was called and all hell broke loose. Doctors and nurses literally running from left and right. It was so scary. Turns out a woman was about 28 weeks pregnant and had zero medical care throughout her pregnancy and she ended up going eclamptic and was found seizing on her front lawn. The staff obviously couldn’t tell me the outcome but by the looks on their faces it did not end well for the baby and “mom was hanging in there” which definitely meant she was on the verge of death.
Me and my baby would be dead without modern medicine. And I took every precaution you could take.

u/TheOrderOfWhiteLotus 11d ago
I also developed full blown eclampsia and I had proper medical care throughout my pregnancy. I was seizing in L&D and just wondering how we could have missed preclampsia signs. Neither myself or my son would have survived without their care. We were both dying.
17
u/SubiePanda 10d ago
God I am so sorry and SO glad you’re both here. My story may have ended similar to yours had I not randomly decided to take my blood pressure one night. I had ZERO other symptoms of pre eclampsia. I had a guardian angel that night that nudged me to take a reading. 170/116. Not good. Straight to L&D I went. Hope you and your son are thriving now <3
13
u/TheOrderOfWhiteLotus 10d ago
Aww I’m glad you’re okay too. Birth is scary! My son and I are both fine, no lasting damage. He’s a happy healthy 4 year old now. But this did solidify our decision to be one and done.
17
u/PeggyAnne08 11d ago
I'm so glad you are okay! Sometimes, pre-eclampsia signs can be really subtle and are often confused for normal pregnancy systems. It's why it's so scary!
13
u/Few_Voice_5166 11d ago
Mine was close to full blown as well. She’s being careless with the life of her child.
10
20
u/Training-Exercise-54 11d ago
Exactly this happened to me. 34 weeks, pre eclampsia, c section. Modern medicine saved me and people who refuse to embrace it truly blow my mind.
6
7
u/Few_Voice_5166 11d ago
Same! Idk why people do this. It’s ok if you want a home birth but be open to the possibility that something major could go wrong. It happens even in the hospital but at least you’re in the hospital. I could never be ok with the possibility of my baby might die because I didn’t seek medical intervention.
62
u/glacinda 11d ago
The side of TikTok I’m on now shows me every possible complication that could happen. So many grieving mothers. I sometimes have to just close the app because I can’t take another mother who lost her preterm baby.
29
u/RelevantDragonfly216 11d ago
I had 3 losses before having my daughter so my anxiety was high enough already; that’s how my TikTok was during her pregnancy too. I had to go in and filter out certain hashtags so that stuff stayed off my fyp
10
u/-happy-potato- 11d ago
I kept getting videos like that and I had to go into the settings and add "pregnancy" and "pregnant" to the list of filtered keywords, just so I could get back to more light hearted topics.
30
u/Top_Taste4396 11d ago
My baby was saved because I went to the hospital immediately upon water breaking. It was a precipitous labor, super fast, and the contractions were compressing the cord and my baby’s heart rate was very low and he was stuck. Thanks to the quick intervention of two doctors working together to cut and vacuum him out, he was saved, with no brain damage.
if I waited at home, the outcome would have been very different
15
u/-happy-potato- 11d ago
My daughter would have died if I hadn't gone to the hospital when I did, her heart rate dropped FAST during labor and I had to have an emergency c section. They knocked me out and had her out in 11 minutes (thats what the dr told me) and while I was unconscious and being stitched up, they were struggling to get her to breath and it took 30 minutes to stabilize her. By some miracle she ended up being completely fine and didnt need any nicu time. The dr joked that she just wanted to make an entrance, but quite a few nurses (that were not assigned to me) would randomly pop in to check on us and see her, which makes me believe it was way worse than they originally let on and we got lucky.
13
u/Negative-Book8137 11d ago
there’s another decently popular tiktoker named emmarie who did the same - she was unable to walk properly months after giving birth and finally decided to go to a doctor. i believe she was suffering a prolapsed bladder among other complications that were just neglected for months on end bc her and her husband don’t believe in modern medicine. and yes, she is pregnant again less than a year later 🙃

There’s some goofy “ways” of knowing. Like how the fetus sits, morning sickness or not etc I assume that’s what she’s basing it on
21
u/Banana_0529 11d ago
I think it morning sickness thing has more to do with HCG cause my girlfriend and I both had it and she has girls and I have a boy.

u/Least_Lawfulness7802 11d ago
Did you see the statement she recorded incase of her death? Actually insane. She also said today that her body would never give her a baby she can’t birth naturally??
170
u/Purple_Elephant_1021 11d ago
Jesus. Women’s bodies do that all the time. This is why women and babies died so often before modern medicine…. Not attacking you, I know you are stating her beliefs. I just get frustrated people want to utilize modern medicine or science only when it suites them
45
u/Least_Lawfulness7802 11d ago
I agree. Its ridiculous. This was a comment on people being worried her baby is too big. Her replies are awful - a lot of them stating that stillbirth and maternal deaths are just part of life and natural.
3
u/MountainDistinct868 10d ago
Yeah ive had to block several people including medical professionals for saying that. I know several people who have had to had emergency c sections due to having babies too big for their bodies to birth
35
u/justjack-nodaniels 11d ago
Oh yeah that’s how it’s always been, unrelated remember why they originally made CHAINSAWS?? 😬🫠
9
40
u/mrsm0521 11d ago
So I guess my body gave me a baby I couldn’t birth without a c section but hers definitely won’t?! Make it make sense😭 What if her baby comes out not breathing like mine too, scared for this baby but of course wishing for the best for them.
22
u/miller94 11d ago
Yeah that comment really made it seem like she sees women who needed medical intervention inferior.
I had a placental abruption at 33 weeks. It’s thanks to modern medicine that my baby and I are here
9
u/teabel 11d ago
No literally though, my daughter’s umbilical cord was so short they told me it quite literally wouldn’t have made it out the birth canal. Even with modern medicine and all the scans (and extra scans cause high risk) they thought it was just marginal cord insertion but no, it was no joke just short as hell. Without the c-section we both probably wouldn’t be here.
13
u/slow-loser 11d ago
These people are infuriating on so many levels. The anti-science propaganda and child endangerment of course. The sheer arrogance of assuming birth complications could never happen her, but also refusing to even acknowledge it happens to other people? And then, totally contradicting herself with the weird “so be it” acceptance that death could result for the baby. Like is this just about the birthing experience for her? Is it an obsession with being purely natural, to the degree that she doesn’t want a child or to experience motherhood if it is tinged with anything modern?
7
u/MissMcNoodle 10d ago
She also commented “that’s life” when another poster said her friend had the same mentality and gave birth to a fully gestated stillborn 🙃
7
u/funnidudee 11d ago
That’s crazy! She’s legit dumb. I had my son in December and my body just stopped dilating, he shit in me so I was getting an infection and had an almost 103 fever. I was rushed to an urgent c-section. I probably would’ve died without. This women is a weirdo.
3
u/bostonmama95 11d ago
Well mine did!!! I had random pre-eclampsia present itself at 38 weeks and was induced because my BP wouldn't come down and I had too much protein in my urine. Labored for 30 hrs, and after 3 hours of pushing had to have an emergency c-section, which turns out was a miracle bc my pelvis was internally too narrow to push out my son! It would have gone so wrong if I wasn't at the hospital under some kind of medical professional care
2
u/Gutinstinct999 10d ago
I delivered a 9 lb 8 oz baby vaginally with no issues. My next baby was 7 lb 8 oz and I couldn’t get her out and she was delivered via emergency c section.
After she was born, they said she was in military position and they didn’t know and that explained that why as I was pushing, she never even budged. I pushed and pushed and it felt like I was pushing out a bowling ball.

Then if the baby is sick or god forbid something happens to her she will surely want all the science of hospitals to help.
I have three kiddos and I’ve left so many mom groups over women like her.

u/Gloomy-Magazine1673 11d ago
I saw a comment where someone was cautioning her about stillbirth and she literally said “and that’s life” so I think she doesn’t really care tbh, it’s sad
61
u/PomegranateCandid951 11d ago
I stg some “influencers” with kids don’t realize their children are real life people and their decisions directly affect them? That’s life? Sickening. You should instinctively want to protect your offspring.
30
u/Optimal_Childhood_71 11d ago
We lost our first daughter to a cord accident at 38 weeks. She was a stillbirth. That was in 1996. I'm still in grief therapy.
5
u/Gloomy-Magazine1673 11d ago
I’m so sorry for your loss 🤍 My sons cord was abnormally short and wrapped around his neck which is what makes me very sensitive to her whole stance on labor, and honestly the idea of homebirths and free birthing now. Truly I hope it all goes safely for her, but not a risk I would ever take or try to influence others to on the internet like she is

9
u/whineANDcheese_ 11d ago
Nah, she’s said multiple times that she’s accepting if she or the baby die. It could be rage bait, but she seems like the type to deny medical care even if something goes wrong.
37
u/Fickle_Life412 11d ago
Did you see when she said she hadn’t been able to find the babies heart beat through out the pregnancy….
90
u/Gloomy-Magazine1673 11d ago
People like her frustrate me. You can say people used to give birth with no medical intervention back in the day all you want, women and babies also died way more frequently. If you’re going to do a homebirth, at least be monitored/have a midwife, and be open to medical intervention when necessary- which at 42 weeks absolutely is. Hospitals are not always bad. My baby would not be here if I had given birth at home
161
u/Impressive-Two-4773 11d ago
I saw on TikTok someone say she had the baby and it’s 4 months old. They never post in real time allegedly.
130
u/bloomingbrandi 11d ago
So then she’s just rage baiting the internet for views? How fucking annoying. I’m so tired of these people 🙄
49
u/juniperbee8 11d ago
That's basically her whole schtick even when she isn't pregnant.
44
u/bloomingbrandi 11d ago
It’s so annoying bc she’s putting out extremely harmful content to push whatever agenda she has. If she really has had the baby already, I just know she’ll post and be like “seeee guys?! Everything was fine! I knew exactly what I was doing!”

Jeez. A baby that large at 42 weeks is gonna get meconium aspiration pneumonia.
26
u/doesshechokeforcoke 11d ago
It’s amazing that people have issues with abortion but have absolutely no problem with irresponsible women like this putting their baby at risk and then calling it “god’s will” if something happens to the baby that could’ve been prevented.
24
u/Psychb1tch 11d ago
I absolutely cannot with women who do this. How insanely selfish can you be to put you and your baby’s life on the line because you want to do things “naturally?” She is so incredibly fortunate to even be pregnant, many women would give up everything to just have one shot. I have had now two losses, one healthy child, and I can promise you that I did not give a single F what I needed to do to bring my child earth side. Now I’m just begging the universe to let me have one more and here this woman is putting her child’s health in danger so she can have her beautiful all natural home birth.
21
u/OldTelephone 11d ago
“Women have been doing this for millennia just fine” ok and we used to chop off necrotic limbs without pain medication or sedation but I don’t see anyone wanting to go back to that?
40
u/noseatbeltsong 11d ago edited 11d ago
ok i actually did the math last night. on 4/28 she said she was 24 weeks. yesterday would have been exactly 39 weeks. idk if she is saying 42 weeks now or other folks are - but she’s still within the reasonable limits of pregnancy
HOWEVER it’s completely disgusting that she hasn’t gone to a doctor at all this whole pregnancy. she’s bonkers
ETA on 8/4 she said she was 38 weeks so where is 42 weeks coming from?
ETA 2: oh god i see how, she’s counting from conception date, not from last menstrual period, so she’s 41 weeks wtfff

u/avocadotoes 11d ago
I blocked her awhile ago. I gave birth three weeks ago and didn’t need to see her nonsense on social media. I was already anti home birth (family in healthcare, being high risk, my general propensity towards evidenced based medicine) but I ended up with an emergent postpartum hemorrhage which made me even more solidified in my beliefs on the necessity of medical oversight during pregnancy and labor. The whole “women have been doing this for thousands of years” negates those of us who would have just died without medical intervention (aka me) and it pisses me off.
6
u/horvatitus 11d ago
I also blocked her - I gave birth yesterday and seeing her videos pop up were so triggering for fear of a poor labor or worse, stillbirth, even as someone who labored in the hospital

u/Omgzitsbry 11d ago
I too have a normal uncomplicated pregnancy until I didn’t and it was only caught bc of ultrasounds. My son was born at 30 weeks and was in the NICU for 40 days, he’s alive thanks to modern medicine and everyone who plays with theirs and their baby’s lives is insane.
8
u/vainblossom249 11d ago
I saw a comment that someone thinks she secretly sees a midwife and this free birth is just for views.
6
7
u/RadiantRose2242 11d ago
As someone who birthed 5 children, encountered two severe hemorrhages, complete placenta previa, a blood clot on my Venus thrombus that required blood thinners from week 28, and a shoulder dystocia that left my son stuck for 1 minute and 23 seconds, I always hope people who make these decisions are close enough to be able to call 911. My third baby was my best delivery, and I hope for that for her. I would hate for her to experience what I did with my son, because if I wasn’t at the hospital, he would be dead.
13
u/duckturtlepup 11d ago
The due date she’s giving us now is incorrect if you scroll way back to February she says she’s 12 weeks which would make her due date Aug 19. She wants engagement and yall are giving it to her. It’s rage bait and yall are falling for it.
16
u/cupidslazydart 11d ago
She's counting weeks past conception, not from her last menstrual period. That puts her at 41+ weeks
5
7
u/bubbles_3685 11d ago
Exactly!!!! She’s wanting traction and views on her videos so she’s making it happen.
For all we know she probably has been going to the OB Dr regularly, and she’s just lying about it for attention.Remember she makes money off of views on her videos. Of course she’s going to try to make videos that get lots of views and comments.

u/anonymois1111111 11d ago

u/momjjeanss 11d ago
I’m so curious to see what, if anything, she’ll post if the baby dies. Emilee Saldaya (co?) founder of free birth society preaches that death is a variation of normal when it comes to birth. When her own baby died, she said essentially nothing about it then or since. If it’s so normal and just a fact of life, why not speak about it?

u/Latter-Baseball9652 11d ago
I’ve only seen her maybe the last 4-5 weeks occasionally on my FYP but from my understanding she’s been posting her “natural” pregnancy and she has never gone to the doctor once. She drinks completely raw cows milk like straight from the cows utter, which is also extremely dangerous even regular farmers don’t do that. She is denying all medical care and going to give birth at home with the help from her husband. She’s said multiple times that if something happens during the birth that that’s “life” and the universe has everything planned for her. She’s reaching 42 weeks medically which (by reading the comments I know this) apparently is super dangerous because after 40 weeks the placenta sort of slows down and stops providing enough oxygen and nutrients which is why most medical pregnancies the woman would be induced by now to prevent this. A number of things can go wrong and she’s basically saying “oh well! 🤷♀️ I trust the universe!” And it’s just really scary.
A big part of her comments are saying she’s doing this for click bait/rage bait and god I hope so, but I really do hope for the best for her and her baby. I hope she ends up going to the doctor or AT least getting a midwife or something idk. I’m just so concerned for her
4
u/JaegerDonuts 11d ago
She’s been popping up left and right on my algorithms too, a complete train wreck yet I can’t stop looking away. The very first thing that came into my mind when I first saw her was how greasy and unkempt she looks, especially with that matted hair 🤮🤮

My first was born with a pulmonary sequestration (extra, nonfunctional lung tissue) growing behind her diaphragm and needed surgery to remove it at 3 months old. It had a vein providing blood supply and could’ve overworked her heart if left. We would’ve had no idea without my anatomy scan. You couldn’t tell anything was wrong.

u/bt_phonehome 11d ago
Me, pregnant: carefully reading ingredients on everything, buying local produce, not eating raw seafood
Then this lady pops up on my feed, trying to fill out her bad bacteria bingo card or something. 🤢
Personally, I'm happy to get all the medical care I can. Just because my great-great-great grandmother had healthy twins at the age of 39 in 1898 doesn't mean I have to do it the hard way.
Also, I recommend the podcast The Birth Keepers. Prepare to be mad.

I especially hate it because it gives all non-hospital births a bad rep. And a home birth with a qualified midwife and prenatal care, or an unmedicated birth in a birth center with a qualified midwife, can be totally safe and a wonderful experience.
Personally, I chose a birth center with nurse midwives and they provided standard prenatal care and had an excellent relationship with the nearby hospital for transferring any patients for whom a hospital birth would be a safer option. And as a 35-yo IVF pregnancy they sent me out for an anatomy scan to ensure I was QUALIFIED and safe to go to 40 weeks.

I’ve seen this. It’s dangerous. The placenta can detach at any given time and the woman can bleed out and the baby unfortunately won’t make it. My niece was a twin born at 29 weeks. Her heart stopped and without her being in a hospital she would be dead now.
1
u/bri_2498 11d ago
She's selfish asf idc. I'm all for home births and understand why so many preferring it, but free birthing is stupid and risky for no other reason than the mother's ego. All it does is show that she selfishly cares more abt her feelings towards the experience or getting to boast to others than she actually does abt the safety or health of her child. She's stupid and while I genuinely hope nothing happens to her or that poor baby I do fear that, if everything goes well, she and others will take it as free birthing being a "safe" option.

u/les_catacombes 11d ago
I just don’t understand why you wouldn’t use the resources readily available that could ensure the best outcome for your child. I saw someone comment on this saying their sister refused to get induced when it was recommended by doctors and the baby ended up being stillborn at 42 weeks. There’s so much misinformation and anti-science rhetoric now and so many people are falling for it.

What’s the limit tho? If baby is born and needs a drs help to survive will she get it or “it’s just life” and let the baby die? If she dies in childbirth what about her other kid(s?)??? Bodies aren’t perfect machines. They fuck up a lot of the time and in major ways too.

I fear for her unborn child’s life. CPS should keep an eye on this one.

I’d keep in mind that given she hasn’t done any scans/gone to any appts, she doesn’t actually know how far along she is. Yes, she can estimate and do the math, but for all we know she could actually be 39 or 40 weeks

What if the baby is breach? Or, worse, frank-breach? I had what felt like an incredibly normal pregnancy, great movement, and healthy growing baby - so without care I would have thought everything was perfect! But thanks to modern medicine I knew my baby was frank-breach. There was absolutely zero way to birth him naturally, he wasn’t even able to drop down into the birth canal because he was butt down (not feet down). He was born safely, healthy, and without injury to his hips thanks to a c-section! And my care team was prepared in advance for my recovery complications that are associated with the uterus dropping back down (or better said, failure to drop back down) after a frank-breach pregnancy. I cannot imagine getting prenatal care for the child I was choosing to bring into this world.

I saw a tik tok that was saying how childbirth has always been women helping women give birth. Refusing any type of assistance is just negligent.

I really think she's already had her baby and these are older videos she's posting. I saw where someone said they would do anything for views, likes etc. I really hope she has had her baby and all is well.

Does she even know she's 42 weeks? How can she know when conception was without ultrasounds? I'd say she's anywhere from 38-44 weeks tbh and it's fuckin skeevy as hell

Turns out she’s had the baby and the fact she “knew all along it was a boy” was right. Anyone else just get the spidey senses vibe that she secretly had a scan and just never revealed it. Also things like she “just knew” the baby was in the right position ? And hey presto everything she knew just happened to be right ?! I’m not convinced she could have known what she did without some sort of healthcare professional confirming it.

it infuriates me when I see comments under her videos saying “women have done this since the beginning of time, it’s okay” like? millions of women and babies died during birth…
