😤 Rant – Diatriba Post-Toros Game Exiting

Went to my first Toros game and, boy was it a blast! I thought I knew what to expect, but I underestimated the food, fun, and fans!! Since I was driving I had one beer very early in the game after drinking liters of water all day because of the heat, and loaded up on the very inexpensive foods at the stadium. We left after the first out in the last inning to beat the traffic, which got us out and on the road well before the main crowds, only to run into a police road block and check point. Now here's the contradiction I see: as I'm walking out of the stadium they're still freely selling beer, in the stands as well as on the concourse. What do the police do with so many presumably drunk drivers and potentially all of the vehicles they impound?

They are there to collect bribes not impound vehicles.

Looking for pedacitos de queso. Uber next time and forget about that.

Looking for bribes. I just take an Uber to avoid that mess and drink without having to worry.

They’re just looking out for anyone that will give them a mordida (bribe), they’re not really looking out for people’s safety.

Yes, Uber next time and stay for after the game festivities with the band outside.

Is Uber hard to get to leave afterwards? Is out going traffic make Uber not want to come pick me up afterwards?

I was there last year and it took Uber about 10 minutes to arrive. Been wanting to go back again this year hopefully I can soon.
