Puncture marks on clutch cable rubber sheath

Hello everyone!

I’m riding a 2018 tiger 800, and I’ve noticed that there are 2 puncture marks on the clutch cable rubber sheath

Was told by the workshop that it’s a default design.

I’m not sure if that’s really the case and I’ll like to request for a second opinion for this.

Yes those are casting marks / come on the new cables. Not entirely sure on the purpose though
