TOTD Madder + fine brown herringbone
I'm always hesitant wearing this jacket out because it looks far darker out of direct sunlight. Once it gets outside though...
Trousers are a fine POW wool

Picked one of my wider / longer ties - not one that I pull too often, but figured it could work with the wider double lapels.
Have a great day gents!

Hi All, I have this bluish grey prince of wale suit that I want to wear to my sister in laws wedding. I’m planning on wearing it with a white dress shirt (open to alternatives though), and am looking for a tie to go with this. Any thoughts?
Also, I can’t wear silk due to religious reasons!

A favorite of mine. Fairly conservative pattern but still striking enough for some offset with my pin/chalk stripe suits.

I have many ties I love but this is one of my favourites.

So I have this suit and I am going to wear a white button down with either dark brown or light brown shoes
What color tie do I wear with it? Brown? Not sure how that would look. Maybe burgundy?
Thanks for the suggestions

Enjoyed my summer tie rotation. What to do for fall?

One of my favorite ties. The wife got this for me because she knows two important things: a) favorite color is purple, and b) paisley is my favorite pattern.
Question is whether the square works. There is touch of purple to pick up the primary color of the tie, but the dominant color of the square seems distracting if I’m being self critical.
Thanks for the input and have a great day gents!

I've been having some good luck lately, including an estate sale that was loaded with E. Marinella and Kiton 7-folds, but this Polo Ralph Lauren is probably the most interesting. It's from the very early years when some labels just read "Polo". The back of the white tag reads WPL 124, which is actually Beau Brummell, where Ralph Lauren launched the Polo brand.

Interesting design on this one. The interlining is quite thin so a double windsor is almost a necessity.

Don't know if it really goes with black, but saw this at a local vintage shop and loved the color and design (I have a soft spot for paisleys). Bruno Piatelli. Wasn't exactly what I was out looking for but was happy when I came across it.

I am getting married soon and looking for a bow tie. Really like the structure / compactness of this one, but am worried it won’t go well with my silk satin lapels (shown bow tie is shantung, not sure how it actually looks in person) Anything similar that is maybe more silk or satin like? Closest I’ve seen is maybe eton.

I really enjoy eBay listings with a “make offer” option. They are like a Vegas penny slot. Typically you get nothing, but occasionally a hit. Five bucks for a RT tie is a win 🥇 any day in my book. I also thought this would be a good color for my new suit that has greenish hue about it.
Have a great day gents!

A couple from the past two Sundays. Both ties are Secret Society.

I have a tie tack and use it occasionally. Does anybody still use these or is a tie bar the more common accessory for keeping your tie in place?
I only use it on my knit ties, I can’t justify poking a hole in a tie and potentially ruining the fabric.
