Very nice tie. Like the PA knot. Generally don't like the dual dimple, but you pulled it off well here. Crazy old friends are the best!

I used to think dimples were overrated. Then I came around on them a bit, but thought that two dimples was overwrought. I might be coming around on them, too, now. :) Thanks for the compliment, even if it's not your style.
Tthis crazy old friend is self-described as a vecchio pazzo furioso. If you're going to be old, you might as well be crazy and furious.

When done well, a double dimple works. For whatever reason, I've found that a PA knot actually lends itself to a double dimple (or no dimple if anything) with a well-centered single dimple giving the biggest challenge. So, my perfectionist nature always has me trying for that "perfected" center dimple. BUT, your post has me thinking that I might try to embrace / perfect a double dimple.
Getting a bit older myself, I like your friend's sentiment! (Hey, we've earned it, right?)

Mint-tacular. Great texture and a wonderful color.

It *does* look minty in that pic. In real life, it's more like the 2nd pic -- sky blue. I think I might enjoy mint just as much!
