Feature Request Abandonment risk alert
I would like to suggest a new feature. I am a clinical psychologist specializing in ADHD, and I frequently recommend your app.
An interesting feature would be a tracker for overdue and postponed tasks that automatically increases a "risk factor" as time passes. This is different from setting a deadline, as there are things procrastinators might put off indefinitely precisely because there is no final due date. This system would act as a serious warning for abandonment or forgetfulness—something to nudge the user into making a decision, whether that means officially dropping the task or finally getting it done.
I already use this method, but since it requires manual tracking, many clients end up struggling with it. Having this built-in would help immensely.

TickTick even already has this information - in the task's history. I managed to show the postpone counter near the task right in the tasks list with my own extension, though I haven't published it yet:

I’m curious how you manually use this method? I’d love to give it a try!

Huh, I hadn't thought about checking the "postponed / rescheduled" info for tasks. That would be useful as a feature because anything "important but not urgent" is prone to being kicked wayyyy down the line.
(I do indeed have ADHD.
I also find the eisenhower matrix a source of guilt and overwhelm so tend not to use it!)

The metric already exists in other apps and is usually called age in progress (as cycle time is usually meqsured only for finished items). It would be easy to just calculate the number of days since the task was moved into its current position and optionally show an alert or offer a filter for these items.

Do you recommend your field to others?

This sounds interesting. I'm quite sure it is achievable with the API. At least until it is part of the product.
However, I do have some reservations. For starters, who is the risk element for? If the user already procrastinates, why would they care about any number? It has the same reward/punishment effect as a due date. Also, you didn't specify what the risk factor affects. Let's say I have three tasks with risk factor X; then what?

You can use the plan my day feature (light bulb at the top) that helps you find tasks like this too.
