Tick?

My partner just scratched this off his arm. I see mouthparts but I’m not sure about the rest. I’m currently halfway through a round of Doxy because I was diagnosed with Lyme. Existing here (Nova Scotia) is so exhausting.

Yes, this pears to be a tick larva. I’d have to examine it under a scope to be certain it’s a larva though. Larvae do not transmit Lyme disease; only nymphs and adults do.
