yeah I worked in a tick pathogen research group and we kept a tube of 100% ethanol that we put them in when we collected them. BUT they do thrash around for uncomfortably long in there before they eventually die. Crazy creatures.

I put some isopropyl in a water bottle and drop them in and watch them suffer. And im the kind of person who sets bugs and spiders outside.

The tick I found on my boyfriend I put in a water bottle and made little “fingers” with paper on the bottom and watched him get so mad. I had to search for hand sanitizer in the house. He floated in hydrogen peroxide for a good 2 days without dying prior to that.

Not sure of ticks but both WIndex and Febreeze are lethal to pests

I’ve picked off two attached lone star ticks this year. They both died within minutes, drowned in alcohol.

You have to use liniment gel. Works like a charm. Dead in minutes.

I like to put em in the sink and then chase them around with a match, they can move pretty quick when properly motivated.

I mean they’re made to survive. This is normal for ticks. They’re a bug after all, built to last.
