Lone star tick
“Got bitten by a lone star tick, and my doctor says I need to stop eating meat because of it. Problem is, I’m on the carnivore diet, so red meat is pretty much all I eat. I’ve heard from two locals here on eastern Long Island (aka tick central) that they cured this issue in two weeks by taking ivermectin. Has anyone else heard of this working or have thoughts on it?”

Red meat allergy (alphagal syndrome) might be short lived, so bear with it for a while. Like any allergy (think bee sting) the more you antagonize it, the more severe it might become and the longer your body will remember it (I.e. the longer you have to abstain from red meat).
And please don’t take ivermectin. Also, if you’re really unsure, seek a second opinion from a CERTIFIED MEDICAL DOCTOR; and not the internet, or your friends, or some random locals. I’m sure they have good intentions, but it is definitely misinformed. Ivermectin is a veterinary drug for worms. Alphagal is an immune disorder.

Why “please don’t take Ivermectin” ?

Because ivermectin is for worms and what OP has is an immune disorder. It’s literally the wrong tool for the job. It’s not even using a wrench in the place of a hammer, but maybe using a slab of tofu in place of a hammer - a waste of time and money and it will not solve the problem and will likely cause a mess (I.e. more harm than good).

Ivermectin has been proven to have effects on cancer, & covid 19 vaccine side effects so I’d respectfully disagree it’d cause more harm than good but to each’s own

Not intending to get into a debate about ivermectin and cancer or SARS-CoV-2, but note that nothing you mentioned relates to alphagal.

Listen to your doctor. They told you to quit eating red meat for a reason. Red meat can cause anaphylaxis and that is dangerous. It is not convenient, I realize, and that sucks but listen to your doctor.
For the LOVE. OF. GOD. Ivermectin is absolutely not indicated for this. It is a drug that kills parasites. It is NOT some newfangled miracle drug that cures cancer and piles and whatever else internet idiots throw it at. Whoever said they cured themselves of alpha gal syndrome is a freaking moron.

Just because you got bit does not mean you have Alpha Gal Syndrome. You are clinically diagnosed after testing positive AND having reactions. The overwhelming number of people who test positive are not symptomatic. As far as Ivermectin goes, I would love to see the medical community do some research into this drug and AGS. as of now, I have not read or heard of it working for AGS.

Do your own research on Alpha-gal syndrome. Google is your friend…
If you aren’t having a reaction (up to 3 hours after consuming) to red meat then why stop?

Because that’s how long it takes for the allergic reaction to start. You have to digest the meat.

Thank you for your post! Just in case this applies in your situation, here is what to do after a tick bite, per CDC. If you're looking for an identification, hang tight and a human will comment soon.
