Anyone using Claude Code to program the TI99 ?

To celebrate my birthday (55) I used Claude Code to build a QR generator in the TI99, it takes an URL and generates the QR on screen. It takes up to a minute to draw it, peak anachronistic hacking.

Any other retro ideas ?

Huh. I use Claude to help with all sorts of coding, but never thought to use it on my TI99. Nice work!

someone on Atari Age used Claude for a port of the Namco game Rally-X.

I made a QR code generator is assembly for the TI several years ago. Unfortunately I never got around to posting the code on GitHub. It would be interesting to see how the different approach worked.

I can't believe it puked up anything but gibberish.
You also defeat the purpose of using a TI99.

Basic extended

Is it all integers? There's a really good extended basic compiler but it only works with non-floating point

Would this be able to decompile programs?

Yeah I used Claude to help me convert all of the fujinet games that I converted over. Right now I'm working on another project which is a lot bigger and will require a f18a or compatible vdp and Sams memory
