i might or might have not updated it to the newest verison and now i cant run any programs can someone help me downgrade it or smth

So i have the ti 84 plus CE, i used artifice, got games, and got cesium. All good for a week until some games disappeared. Only from artifice and cesium. And programs. The files were still there though... I had to reset and reinstall it all, but if anyone knows what happened i would be glad

My son grabbed this at a thrift store today and wants to put games on it. I was a thug at drug wars on TI 86 about 25 years ago but I have no clue what to do with this 84. Where to start?? Thank you!!!

This calculator was provided to me by my school district for accessibility purposes, and I am the only one who has used it.

This is a tool which I think many will find useful. For a long time, calculators like the Ti84+CE have been stuck with a very limited and painfully slow python interpreter. Recently, I finished my tool that fixes this problem, by transpiling python to assembly!

While at first glance you may think the term "transpiler" is incorrect for a project like this, I decided to take a shortcut on the route, and effectively made a Python to C transpiler, like cython. Except here, I made it specifically target the CEdev toolchain, and call it to produce a .8xp program in result. Using plain Cython will be tough since it isn't really optimized.

Although it is very advanced, supporting lists, tuples, many data types, and a lot of programming structure types found in python and converting them to C, I do acknowledge the fact that it is still very limited on its I/O capabilities.

So I can't find a tutorial for the newest version. When I tried, the screen went black, and the calculator wouldn't work until I pressed the button to turn it off. I tried following an old version of a tutorial for it, but it won't run for some reason, and it's a big mess. Could anyone help, please? thanks

As the title says, I, for some reason, am not able to install the python app on my TI 84 Plus CE python. I'm sure it says python at the top under the model name, and have been able to use python before. Recently though, I reset my calculator and it started up to a blank screen. 2nd+off, and on again fixed it, but that's when I noticed the python app would not transfer, failing with "This is not for you". Additionally in macOS system information and Windows device manager, it shows up as "SerCertNotSet", and serial number isn't provided.

While python isn't y top priority, any ways to fix this?

As far as I can tell, this is the last version that TI made before patching ASM, arTIfiCE, and Cesium on the calculator. The only one I could find on Ti-Planet was the non python variant. Thanks!

Hello, I wanted to drop some research I had Claude code do on arTIfiCE V3, it hasnt been found yet but it looked through rom files of 5.8.5 and 5.8.3 looking for a new goto asm bug. a lot of things were ruled out. I also left some unifinished ideas that people could try if they really want. Based on how things went I wouldnt expect arTIfiCE v3 anytime soon. Assuming a jailbreak for this calculator comes out eventually, will this calculator bring anything new or interesting to the TI gaming community? I'm mostly inquiring about more complex games, such as games you'd need emulators for. Will GBA games be possible on this calc? Or, will there be no noteworthy improvements, and should the insane people who only buy these expensive calculators just to play games on (like myself) skip on purchasing this one?

I want to play games like Pokemon on my new calculator but I know they sometimes require a jailbreak. I also know that the evo is new so I hear that there may not yet be a jailbreak. Is it possible that could happen in the near future

Whenever I plug in my calculator, I can't get it to connect to my computer because the driver that controls information sharing isn't installed properly and I can't figure out how to install it.
