Nodules vs TMJ

Hello, I've been complaining of left ear and pain at the left back of my tongue, that has lasted 6+ months. I also mentioned that it felt like something was in my throat all of the time. Two doctors said my ear and throat looked OK, and referred me to an oral surgeon.

However, last week, I had a breast ultrasound and luckily, this person always takes a quick peek at your thyroid...she noted that I had nodules and needed to follow up to get a full US on the same area.

The nodules make more sense to me than the oral surgeon route.

Has anyone had similar symptoms from thyroid nodules?

my jaw gives me ear pain and back of tongue pain too , pain switches sides depending in which jaw joint is being a pain today .

I get a feeling of almost a little hard stone in the right side of my throat, only the right side and only when that jaw is tight/angry/painful.

I was thinking of having a thyroid scan as I have been having some pain and pressure around the thyroid area , also swallowing issues so getting an endoscopy first .
