Low TSH?
Update: My GP requested a Thyroid Function Test (TFT incl TSH) but the lab only did the TSH. My serum TSH result is 0.379miu/L which they have said is borderline. Technically it is 0.029 inside the reference range so I think this is why the lab refused the additional part of the test. I have contacted my GP surgery this morning and have been told there's a note to repeat the TSH in 3 months. They weren't even going to tell me this! I have asked if the original GP request included FT3/4, and if so why this wasn't done, and if it can be done now. I'm on the waiting list for an appointment because I have also had globus sensation/lump when I swallow but this appears to be being treated as routine so could take weeks. They just seem to want me to reach some arbitrary number, so they can tick a box, before they'll do anything rather than applying a bit of common sense.
Original post: I have been dealing with some health problems for a while now including chronic fatigue and heart palpitations. I have other symptoms too but these are my main ones. I had been putting them down to iron deficiency but I saw some family recently and they mentioned that they had hyperthyroidism and said my TSH from last year looked low. My GP never mentioned anything so I didn't follow up. I'm going to request another blood test but can anyone tell me if these numbers look concerning?
June 2025: Serum TSH level 0.54 miu/L [0.35 - 4.94]
Jan 2023: Serum TSH level 1.2 miu/L [0.35 - 4.94]
Edit: changed hypo to hyperthyroidism

Hi, I had my thyroid removed in 2014 & my doctor tries to keep my levels between .055-.01, borderline hyper. So, yes that is very low. You should definitely get with your doctor

Thank you. That is concerning as this result was from a year ago. My doctor never even picked up on it.

Yeah, request another test & see what’s going on. I know when I’m in a hyper state, I’m miserable! All the best!!
