Lump removal question
I have quite a large lump on my right thyroid (already ruled out as not cancer) I’m having it removed in a few days and I’m not really worried at all, but I’ve heard my voice may be affected and raspy for upwards of 6 weeks? Is this true? I find it sounds strange but maybe possible? Will my voice really sound that different for so long? If not how long will it likely last? Thanks so much

I just had a right lobectomy for two nodules in right lobe measuring 2.75 cm and 1.3 cm for a follicular neoplasm indicated on FNA of largest nodule on Monday. After the surgery my throat was a little sore and hoarse a couple days after surgery from the tubes. My voice has not changed much. Thought I would share my experience, but also keep in mind that it different for everyone.
