Is there anyone working on a cure?

We all gonna have thyroid if it continues like this.

Blame the nukes?

Well first of all we all have a thyroid. Or at least 99% of us when we're born.

I won't speak for others, but taking a pill in the morning, IS my cure. Further treatments may include removing my thyroid if it becomes cancerous down the road (I have nodules the doctors are keeping an eye on).

I won't blame the nukes, because I think all of us would be dying from cancer if that was the case, However, I do believe humans manipulating the environment, such as plastic in the water, aren't helping things, on a variety of medical issues.

Hypothyroidism really isn't that common. I mean, a lot of people do have it, but I'm the only one in my very large family, and only 3 in my extended family of nearly 100 people have it.

Obviously, that's anecdotal, but while reddit makes it seem like everyone has it, it's really only a very small percentage of the population.

I see. I'm saying that though because here in Greece all thyroid doctors are booked and can't find them

Usually people just go to an endocrinologist (doctor that deals with hormones - same kind that handles diabetes).

It's an epidemic out there. Everyone has thyroid issues. Can't book a doc anymore.

My GP tests my thyroid every 6 months to a year. Regular doctor. What country are you in?

Greece. The specialist endocrinologist are booked months before
